Susie Hoggard, RN, BSN

Susie Hoggard is our Charge Nurse and Safety Officer of Atlantic Surgery Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University. Susie started in 2008, has been a nurse since 1994, including surgical, plastics and reconstructive, home health, pediatrics and OBGYN.

Susie has lived in Jacksonville for 14 years. She enjoys spending time with her family, enjoys gardening and walking on the beach.

Sandy Moore, MA, ST

Sandy Moore is the heart of our Operating Room.  She has been a core part of Dr. Trimas’ team since 1999.  Sandy is originally from Jacksonville, and currently resides in Ponte Vedra.  She enjoys the beach, working out, vacationing with family, and having fun with friends.

When asked what she enjoys most about her career, Sandy said, “It’s fun!  We have great patients, and the staff works so well together.  Dr. Trimas is excellent with his work!”

Jackie Renuart, RN

Jackie Renuart, better known as “Nurse Jackie”, has been a part of the team for over 15 years. She has been in nursing for over 35 years and absolutely loves it. Jackie loves making sure everyone is comfortable while in our office. She wears many hats around here, from assisting in the OR, getting patients ready in the pre-op area, taking care of post-surgery patients, scheduling surgeries, consultations with patients, and seeing patients for post op visits. We guarantee that you will get the royal treatment when you are in Jackie’s care! It is evident, her number one concern is the care of the patient. 

Jackie has been in Jacksonville for over 30 years, has three grown children and three grandchildren. She enjoys watching college football (Go Gators!) and NFL football (Go Jags!) when she isn’t busy with her grandbabies, hiking, waterfalls, and visiting national parks. Jackie says, “I feel very fortunate to work with such a great office staff. We are each other’s work family. I am very blessed to be here at Dr. Trimas’ office!”

Karen Sharko, RN

Karen Sharko is our surgical nurse on staff. She has over 38 years of critical care experience including Intensive Care, Heart Cath, and Recovery Room. Karen brings the fun and sunshine to this office by always wearing a smile and being upbeat. She strives to give patients that VIP feeling as you enter the pre-op area and the same care as you wake up from surgery. She truly puts her patients first. 

Karen says loves working with “Team Trimas” making her patients comfortable with an exciting, smooth experience. She lives in Ponte Vedra with her husband of 30 years and has two daughter that reside locally as well. She enjoys traveling, swimming, scuba and beach time with family and friends.

Gina Schmidt, MA

Gina Schmidt has been a part of our team since 2000. She is our Fernandina Beach/Amelia island representative. Gina is a member of the American Medial Technologist and is a Registered Medical Assistant. She has advanced training in permanent make-up and chemical peel application, and is educated on Obagi, PCA, and SkinMedica skincare.

Gina is originally from Jacksonville and has resided in Fernandina Beach for over 13 years. She and her husband, and 2 children love being on the water-fishing, boating or swimming.

Leah Maaieh

Leah Maaieh has been a core part of our team since 2001. She has been in medical administrative field since 1999. Whether she is assiting you with scheduling surgery or planning our next VIP patient event, her friendly, professional and helpful demeanor is something you will surely notice. What Leah loves most about her career is assisting each patient through their journey from their initial consult to their final result.

Leah is a 5th generation Floridian, born and raised in Jacksonville. She is married with three sons. She enjoys the beach, sporting events, Jaguar football, cooking and being involved with church.

Tracy Cooper

Tracy Cooper is our Medical Billing and Coding specialist. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Memphis, and Medical Billing and Coding degree from Sanford Brown Institute in Jacksonville. She has years of experience in medical offices, and has enjoyed substitute teaching for many years.

Tracy has been in Ponte Vedra for 21 years, and enjoys spending time with her husband, and their 3 young adult children. Her spare time is filled with working out, going to the beach, and participating and many church activities-her husband is a pastor.

Loida Figueroa

Loida joined our team in November 2020. She has a heart to help others and will go the extra mile to assist you in whatever it is you need. Loida always has a smile and will greet you with a warm hello when you call or walk in for your appointment.

She was born in New York and raised a family in Cherry Hill, NJ. Loida has been married for 28+ years and raised two amazing sons, now 27 and 21. Loida LOVES the beach, music, God, family, and friends. She says she feels so blessed working with this team of amazing, caring, and loving people.
