Scott J. Trimas, M.D., FACS

Dr. Scott Trimas has been an established, respected and reputable member of the Beaches and Amelia Island communities since 1994. He is board-certified facial plastic surgeon, performs cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head, and neck region. Dr. Trimas received his undergraduate degree with a Summa Cum Laude honor from Vanderbilt University in 1984. He then attended University of Florida Medical School and graduated with honors in 1988. He continued his internship and residency at the University of Florida in 1993 and fellowship at the University of Toronto in 1994. Dr. Trimas is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology.


Dr. Trimas takes a naturalistic approach to facial rejuvenation.  His approach is a combination of surgical procedures and noninvasive procedures, such as Botox, Fillers, lasers, skin care, etc. Treatments are uniquely designed to meet your individual anatomy.  Dr. Trimas has over twenty plus years of experience in giving natural looking results. Dr. Trimas is an avid believer in utilizing new technology and is continually integrating new equipment, techniques, treatments, and skin care products into his practice. He is actively updating his knowledge and skills with the swiftly changing cosmetic industry by attending conferences, meetings, and training events. Dr. Trimas also provides training opportunities to physicians on the proper use of Botox and is sponsored by the Botox Cosmetic Network Preceptorship Training Program.  Dr. Trimas is in the top 10% of injectable fillers and Botox performed in the nation. He is also in the top 4% in the amount of facelift procedures performed in the state of Florida.


Dr. Scott Trimas is an active member of the Face to Face Organization. Face to Face is an organization that gives women the financial support to correct facial deformities caused by severe abuse and trauma.

Dr. Trimas performs most cosmetic surgical procedures in the comfort of his surgical suite.  Atlantic Surgery Center of Jacksonville Beach is fully accredited through Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), and Dr. Trimas only utilizes Board Certified Anesthesiologists.

Cayla Nessler, PA-C

Cayla Nessler is a Physician Assistant (PA-C) who joined us in October 2021. She is nationally certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) as well as the Florida Board of Medicine. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA), the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), and the Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants (APSPA). Cayla was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from the University of North Florida in 2015 where she majored in Health Science with a minor in Health Education. She then worked at UF Health Jacksonville where she wore many hats working as an Emergency Medical Technician in both the adult and pediatric Emergency Department as well as the Level One Trauma Center. In addition to these roles, Cayla was also a member of the Midline Team, obtaining vascular access and placing midline catheters using ultrasound guidance for inpatients of all acuity levels. In 2017, Cayla attended Nova Southeastern University - Jacksonville Campus where she obtained her Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies. During this time, she received the Student of the Year award for the Jacksonville Regional Campus. Prior to joining the Beaches Facial team, Cayla worked in Pain Medicine at Mayo Clinic Florida, consistently ranking among the top 2% of providers enterprise-wide in patient satisfaction and experience. 


Cayla specializes in Botox, injectable fillers, lasers (BBL, hair reduction, YAG, fractional CO2), medical skin care, microneedling, and chemical peels. She has been trained and certified by Allergan Aesthetics, Revance Aesthetics and Crown Aesthetics.
